Previews-Kooky
Updated the Previews page, it now lists all the previews of Empire Earth to date.

Runner Up-Kooky
Empire Earth came runner-up in Gamespy's best Strategy of E3 awards. Well done to SSSI. See it here for yourself.

More Previews-Kooky
2 More previews have come our way, check out the one at Sharky Extreme, which is actually a roud-up of the whole show, but, when focusing on Sierra, gives EE a good look.

The second is from Incite, which you can find here here. If you find any reviews don't forget to send them our way!

Sys Requirements?-Kooky
Is he waiting for me to do a system requirements page before Kooky updates again?? Well, I had nothing else to do so, check it out by clicking one the orange text here.

Tech Tree-Kooky
Made a tech tree page displaying the two technology trees that we have recieved from SSSI. See it here.

Jobs-Kooky
I've had a great response to the job openings, so I'll be screening and interviewing and then you'll see new people popping up here shortly. If you're still interested in joining the team here use this form.

Music-Kooky
Bloodhound Gang's song The Bad Touch is just the funniest, go out and get it now! And while you're there get some good music like Slipknot and KoRn!

Work-Kooky
Some new info came out, including a brand new tech tree which I'll post up as soon as I get home from work today.

Previews-Kooky
Since E3 there have literally been thousands, and I mean thousands of gaming previews posted, through the process of some long mathematical term there therefore has to be a whole load of EE previews out. I've found these:

If you find anymore e-mail them in!

Screenshots-Kooky
Two new sets of screenshots in the shots section. Eight in total, three's your basic run of the mill shots in Shots Part 1. However the shots in Shots Part 2 are a little more interesting, showing us a different menu and a normal mouse pointer. Go check em out, if ya want. Meaning that this may be a newer build of the game, although it's hard to say as we don't know the origin of these shots.

Links-Kooky
Added The EE Facility to the links page, excellent layout, go check it out now!

Finished-Kooky
I must have been on a sugar high r something, but I'm down now. Got loads of screenshots up, updated the resources section, done some more work on the units section, didn't upload it though. Anyway, more tomorrow.

Updating-Kooky
Between info releases and E3 I think this site is behind in the info. department. Which is why I'm devoting my Sunday night to updating (like I have anything better to do...). Anyway, you'll find updates all across the boards, including maybe even an article if I get around to it. At the moment I'm concentrating on the screenshots.

E3 Roundup-Kooky
A whole load of sites are giving us whoop about all the games on E3, some talk about their experience of the Sierra booth. Check out the Gamestats blurb:

Another really interesting game I found was Empire Earth. Talking, again, to one of the artists I was told that the game, created by one of the designers of the original Age of Empires was about 50% done. The game takes place over the span of time from basically the Stone Age to circa Mechwarrior. Amoung the interesting things I was shown were calamities caused by priest units. Calamities ranged from volcanoes and earthquakes, ala Populous to leprosy and the plague. To quote, "we've got the worst of the Bible in here." The game has a night and day cycle, with night playing a part in Line of Sight. Some units will get bonuses to night attack if the appropriate fields are researched. Seaons will also play a part, as apparently bodies of water may freeze over, creating a land bridge and "changing the map for the next 10 minutes or so of gameplay." Heroes will also play a factor in the game, having an area of effect bonus on units, though what the exact bonus might be was not firmly decided. I was shown a list of litterally hundreds of units spanning the time periods, called Epics, of the game.

Interesting, some cool features we didn't know about.

  • The game is around 50% complete.

  • Heroes will give a bonus to surrounding units.

  • Water may freeze over to make seas crossable.

Excellent.
